Tulwar
Tulwar
Tulwar Sword
Overall length 96cm
Blade length 82cm
Date: Early 19th Century
Origin: India
A very good example of a typical North Indian Tulwar sword. There is a sharp back-edge to the blade towards the last 25cm of the blade. The blade is relatively flexible and possesses a clear 'ring' to the blade indicative of blades that are structurally sound. Very well balanced blade with minor wear; the edge is razor sharp. The hilt possesses a solid knuckle guard. This is sword is designed to inflict viciously deep cuts when wielded with the correct body mechanics.
