Pesh Kabz 2

Pesh Kabz

Overall length 36cm

Blade length 25.5cm

Date: Mid 19th Century

Origin: Indian Subcontinent

A Pesh Kabz dagger with a wootz blade. Patina typical of age. Scales are of bone, most likely camel; well riveted. A good example of a Pesh Kabz dagger from North India with a touch of influence from the North West Frontier. The solid T-section blade provides dexterity to the blade; there is a decorative chiselling on the spine. Edge remains clean, sharp and devoid of any nicks or damage. A very solid piece.
